Plans are finalized and in place for the Global Perspectives course with a trip to Edinburgh, Scotland and London, England in Spring 2020. The course will be taught online, with the trip over Spring Break, in March 2020.The attached flyer from EF Tours offers information about costs, itinerary, etc.

Every student, new and continuing, in the MSW Program is eligible to take the course as one of 3 required electives. The course will be taught online so that students at all 4 locations can take it without it interfering with normal class schedules. Those who take the course will register for it during the normal registration period in Fall 2019, but you must also register with EF Tours for the actual trip. Note that if you register with EF this month you will automatically receive a $200 reduction in the cost. Only students who take the course may register for the trip.

In addition to the itinerary listed at EF, I will work with them to add some sights and stops that I think are important to your social work educational experience. If you know students who have previously taken the Global Perspectives course, ask them about the impact of the course on their educational experience and their preparation for practice after graduation.

to the Study Abroad office as soon as possible.

The costs for the international travel insurance and the bus transportation to/from the airport will be reflected in your Spring 2020 Marywood bill.
