This is an Undergraduate course for Undergraduate students only TRAVEL WILL OCCUR FROM MARCH 9-17, 2018 The ability to collaborate with individuals of other healthcare professions is increasingly important in a variety of disciplines such as Social Work, Art Therapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Nursing Athletic Training/Exercise Sports Science, Psychology, Music Therapy, Science (Pre-PA), and Nursing. A global perspective is also vital to these professions. This course aims to provide students with knowledge and hands-on experience with inter-professional collaboration in a global context culminating in an 8-day trip to the Republic of Ireland. This is a spring break program in the rural Irish countryside. Students will have the opportunity to have hands-on learning related to the delivery of healthcare in the Republic of Ireland. An emphasis will be placed on practicing and studying inter-professional teamwork and communication. Pre-and post trip experiences and exercises will facilitate learning of global healthcare issues and the implementation of collaboration between healthcare providers. Highlights:
